Weak real cheers thanks to Ramos-Elfer – now four points ahead of Barça

Real continues on master class

MADRID. Two points become four counters! Real Madrid made the third draw of FC Barcelona in a very short time – 0-0 against Sevilla FC, 2-2 against Celta Vigo and Atlético – and defeated Getafe on Thursday evening despite a disappointing performance. At the Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano, the royal team won 1-0 as part of the 33rd matchday of the Primera División. With five outstanding games and the direct comparison won (0: 0, 2: 0), the lead is on Barça always more comfortable! Three weeks ago, Real was two points behind and second in the table.

4-3-3 with Isco, Benzema and Vinícius in the attack

As on Sunday, coach Zinédine Zidane decided against Espanyol Barcelona (1-0) for a 4-3-3, but there were three changes: Ferland Mendy, Luka Modrić and Vinícius Júnior took the place of Marcelo, Federico Valverde and Eden Hazard with. Isco came offensive again on the right side, but, as so often, oriented himself towards the center.

Poor first half of Real

In a small derby against the suburban club, the Madrilenians struggled to find their way into the game for a long time. After an early harmless conclusion by Karim Benzema (3rd), a brave and aggressive Getafe developed a much more offensive urge than Real, whose build-up game often failed. The favorite showed a playful, poor performance against the sixth in the first round over long distances, which was characterized by too much lack of ideas. In the last ten minutes before the break, the white ballet was able to increase its presence slightly in front of and in the opponent’s box.

The best opportunities came on Real’s side Vinícius from close range after a Mendy cross from the left (23rd) and Isco following a cross from Sergio Ramos (36th). However, neither was able to overcome Getafe keeper David Soria. Zidane had to switch for the first time after around half an hour. Éder Militão replaced Raphaël Varane after he got the ball on his right temple at a corner a few minutes earlier and looked a bit dazed (33.).

Blancos struggle even after changing sides

No further changes followed at the restart. With Marco Asensio and Rodrygo Goes, however, Zidane sent two wing reservists to warm up right from the start of the second half. And because nothing went offensive except for a Modrić shot from the second row (58th) in the first third of the second section, he brought both after a little over an hour for the weak Vinícius and Isco (63./64.). Federico Valverde was also involved, replacing Modrić (63.).

Triple change for the three points? Real subsequently became at least more active in the game with Asensio on the left and Rodrygo on the right, but still had to deal with a tough opposing defense. Really dangerous opportunities did not emerge for the Madrilenians, but the hoped-for lucky punch still existed for Zidane’s star ensemble. Daniel Carvajal was indisputably fouled in Getafe’s penalty area (78th), captain Ramos kept his nerve from the point and scored the all-important 1-0 (79th).

Real brought the lead over time. The sixth success in series went against a Getafe, from which less and less compelling offensive came in the course of the encounter, in the end also quite fine. Played poorly, yet won. The Merengues show once again what it takes to probably become champions in the end. They will be in operation again on Sunday – and that from 2 p.m. Real has to compete at Athletic Bilbao (in REAL TOTAL-Liveticker and at DAZN).
