KOMPAS.com – Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp instead laughed at the rumors of Thiago Alcantara approaching his team.
Lately, the Bayern Munich midfielder is reportedly going to be a Liverpool recruit in the summer of 2020.
The issue was first raised by the Spanish media, Sports diary, on Thursday (2/7/2020).
In the report, Sports diary said, the transfer of Thiago Alcantara was just waiting for a price agreement between Bayern and Liverpool.

Bayern is said to want 35 million euros (equivalent to Rp570 billion).
However, on the other hand, Liverpool said, the price is too expensive for players who are aged 29 years.
When asked by reporters about these rumors, Klopp actually laughed. Then, inevitably he must answer that question.
“Would you be surprised if I didn’t give an answer to that question?” Klopp said.
“Only because I have never answered such a question,” said the German coach.
However, Klopp said, Thiago Alcantara was his favorite player.
“Thiago Alcantara is a good player. I like many players out there,” Klopp said.

A few days ago, Klopp also gave the code that Liverpool would be passive in the upcoming transfer market.

“The Covid-19 pandemic certainly affects plans to bring in or kick players. That is normal and Liverpool will likely be passive in the transfer market next season,” Klopp said.
“We cannot spend millions of pounds just because we want. Liverpool will never do that,” he said.
