Harbaugh thinks it’s a good idea, saying that the team that signs Kaepernick “would be very happy.”

Harbaugh begins his response by calling Kaepernick “a friend, a brother, he is a great teammate”. Harbaugh then advises the teams that are considering signing Kaepernick.

“You sometimes get some of the questions like, ‘Is it good enough? He was fired, etc. My personal opinion and really advice to the NFL teams is this: there is only one way to answer these questions and one way to find out. And it’s Colin who signs somewhere, someone who signs Colin, you throw the balls over there and discover how much it would bring value to a team.

“My advice would be, it would be worth your time, and this NFL team would be very happy.”

While a few teams – and coaches – have said encouraging things about Kaepernick during the offseason, no team has signed it yet. With Cam Newton out of the market, it’s possible that Kaepernick will get more looks. Kaepernick would be “more motivated than ever to play”.

It only takes one team to get there.
