Kieran O’Hara is the last Manchester United player to share a farewell post on social media after he left the club this week.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper saw his 16-year-old spell at Old Trafford end on Tuesday after being released by the club after his contract expired.
O’Hara had shone while on loan to Burton Albion earlier this season and last September he became a national team of the Republic of Ireland.
In addition to O’Hara, Angel Gomes, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Demetri Mitchell, Dion McGhee, Ethan Hamilton, George Tanner, Aidan Barlow, Alex Fojticek and Largie Ramazani are all gone.
Irish international O’Hara never made a senior appearance during his long career at Old Trafford, but claims to be grateful for the life lessons he learned while at the club.
“The time has come in my career to separate myself from my boys club, Manchester United FC,” he wrote on social media after his release.
“I would just like to take this opportunity to show my appreciation and gratitude in thanking everyone involved in the club. The coaches and staff who have invested their time and trust in me since I was 8 years old, i my teammates who have guided me, day after day, to become the player and the person I am today and, of course, the fans for your continued support. I will remember you forever and look fondly at the club every second.
“I am grateful for every opportunity that this great club has given me to learn my trade and develop as a player by representing them, as well as gaining valuable experience away from the club with loan spells. To travel around the world that represents this huge club and making friends for life has been special, and without doubt one of the greatest privileges of my life so far.
“However, after two seasons of regularly playing on loan from the lending club, now is the right time to take the natural next step in my journey and move forward to take the opportunity to continue with what I love to do, which is to play. football The time has come for me to seize these opportunities and face new challenges, which is something that feeds hunger and desire within me and excites me for what will come.
