OPEN CHAMPION Shane Lowry said he wants to spend all the ups and downs of life with his wife Wendy in a moving Happy Birthday post.
Wendy celebrated her birthday on the weekend and Lowry made sure to share the shots of the big day.
And in an Instagram post, she said: “Happy birthday to this queen. I couldn’t think of anyone who would have preferred to spend the ups and downs of life with @wendyirislowry”
Lowry also shared a shot of his daughter Iris who gives Wendy a bouquet of flowers and balloons as they celebrate the big day.
Lowry isn’t in action this week, but he may be out practicing world number one Rory McIlroy.
The Offaly man previously claimed that he had lost money to the four-time McIlroy award winner as they were preparing for their sporting return.
He said to Irish Independent: “I played a lot of golf with Rory, which was nice. It’s nice to practice playing against the best player in the world.
“I lost a few bucks to him, but I think it’s money well spent when you can mix in those circles.”
And hopefully Irish eyes will smile this weekend with Waterford man Seamus Power on top of Detroit.

Power participates in the Rocket Mortgage Classic and follows leaders Chris Kirk and Webb Simpson in one fell swoop.
The 2016 Olympian carded a second round 66 to support his open round 67 and sit comfortably in a stacked field that included the Bryson DeChambeau form.
Power’s back to back birds on 13 and 14 prepare him well for his run-in, but fail to capitalize on the 17th par-five to get to the top of the ranking next to the two American golfers.
