Serie A – Round 32 summary

11.07. 19:30

Goals: 48. Federico Fazio, 62. Nikola Kalinic, 74. Nicolò Zaniolo

The Romans dealt with Brescia unexpectedly easily, scored three goals for the home team and after the victory over Parma they scored another three points. The shooters included Federico Fazio, Nikola Kalinić and Nicolò Zaniolo.

It probably didn’t take too long to think about who would be the favorite in the duel between the home team of Brescia and AS Roma. This is despite the fact that visiting coach Paulo Fonseca could not count on, for example, Mchitarjan, Smalling or Džek, who was very tired during the last duels. That is why the Croatian Kalinić got a chance, who tried to meet the high demands on the Roman nine.

In the second minute, however, AS did not show in the best light, when Ibañez inadvertently recorded the opponent in the lime and watched Torregrossa have a sea of time and space to end. In the end, he didn’t get to him and Tonali’s goal could not pay for the offside. Otherwise, however, Brescia did not invent much and actually let AS play.

Lorenzo Pellegrini stretched out for a shot just in front of the big lime and then hid his hard shot in Andreacci’s gloves. He had to intervene even after twenty minutes, when his own defender almost unhappily overcame him. After a quick action, AS almost scored Jhon Chancellor’s goal in the slide and he still had to thank Andreacci a lot for the ball to hit the corner.

Although the Romans crushed their juice in the possession of the ball, they did not create any particularly successful chance. It was quite obvious from the offensive tuned players that they do not play together regularly and that they are looking for each other. The Romans were not helped much by two standard situations, as Aleksandar Kolarov only fired the first one into the goalkeeper Andreacci, while Pellegrini only shot at the wall a few minutes later.

Amadou Diawara closed the net half of the chance in terms of chances, whose shot from behind the lime was aimed outside the goal. The first half ended without goals, but after changing sides, the bag was torn with them. Of course, all of them fell into the outsider’s network. Just three minutes after the change of sides, the Wolves were the first to prevail. The corner kick fell to Federico Fazio, who overcame the goalkeeper Andreacci with a shot on the ground!

Brescia was evidently derailed as the match unfolded. And AS added another goal. After an hour of play, Carles Pérez came up with a beautiful pass for Nikola Kalinić and watched as Hajduku’s goalkeeper processed the ball. Then he bypassed the goalkeeper Andreacci and finished comfortably – 2: 0.

Fifteen minutes before the end, Nicolò Zaniolo finally made his mark, still returning to form after a long injury. After Diego Perotti’s penetrating Zaniolo took over the ball on the edge of the lime and ended the difference between the two teams in the final 3: 0. Substitute Edin Džeko then shot the post at the end after bypassing the goalkeeper. But the Romans didn’t have to mind.
