Sergio Perez seems to have hurt herself quite a bit. While teammate Lance Stroll can compete in the British Grand Prix this weekend, Perez has to watch from isolation after a positive corona test. The Mexican appears not to have followed the rules and to have gone beyond his bubble.
That will be released this morning via ESPN. After the Hungarian Grand Prix, Perez flew back to Mexico to be with his wife, son and daughter. Photos of Perez and his family and some friends can be seen on social media.
Perez then went on holiday to Italy with his wife. Perez’s wife posted a photo of this on social media last Friday, July 24, but it has since been removed. It is clear that Perez has visited several places in Italy.
This is against the rules of Formula 1 and the drivers also have to stick to their bubble. Perez appears to have broken those rules now, with all its consequences.
Perez visited mom in Mexico
Sergio Perez has since responded via social media. He states that he does not know where he contracted it. His statement also seems somewhat self-explanatory, but he says no word about his holiday in Italy: “After Hungary I took a private flight to Mexico to see my mother for 2 days, who had a serious accident.
