Wolverhampton has picked up again after two losses with the victory. At home, Dendoncker Everton’s team was able to master. The Red Devil scored 2-0 shortly after the break. Wolverhampton jumps again over Sheffield in the top 6.
After a hesitant first half, the party ignited just before the break. Podence triggered a penalty and Jimenez then gave the home team the lead. He boosted his impressive statistics to 25 goals and 10 assists.
Even after the break, Pickford quickly had to grab a ball from his nets. It was Leander Dendoncker who took the double lead by nodding in a free kick. It was his 4th league goal of the season.
Everton was a tame lamb and goalkeeper Pickford became egg after the schlemiel. He slipped a shot from Jimenez between his legs. The ball was already halfway across the goal line when the goalkeeper still dived. But Wolverhampton still insisted and Diogo Jota tied the score at 3-0.
Wolverhampton remains on European course thanks to the victory. With 55 points, it is in 6th place, a position that gives right to the groups of the Europa League. Manchester United is the fifth to hold the last Champions League ticket for the time being.
