Report: Manchester United in desperate attempt to sell Jesse Lingard and Phil Jones, David Moyes wants to bring both of them to West Ham

According to a TEAMtalk report, Ed Woodward wants to sell Manchester United duo Jesse Lingard and Phil Jones this summer. And West Ham boss David Moyes would presumably sign both players.

It is suggested that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is willing to allow the 27-year-old and 28-year-old to leave Old Trafford this summer.

Hammers boss David Moyes will certainly be eager to strengthen his central defense and attack the midfield ranks this summer.

So Lingard and Jones could be useful options for the Scotsman.

According to a 90 Min report, West Ham wants to sign the Manchester United director. While the Mirror recently reported that the central defender of the Red Devils is also a summer target for the Hammers.

TEAMtalk suggests that the 20-time league champions are eager to get the pair out to Old Trafford.

Would they be good purchases for West Ham?

Now this is under discussion. Neither Lingard nor Jones have been in great shape this season. Their two United players seem to be the shadow of themselves.

But maybe a move to East London could help reinvigorate their careers?

27-year-old Manchester United has yet to record a goal or assist in 20 Premier League games this season (Transfermarkt).

In those 20 outings, Lingard scored on average only one shot, one key pass and 0.7 dribbles per game (Who Scored).

For a so-called creative player, those numbers are really poor.

Jones, meanwhile, has made only two Premier League appearances for the whole season for United. The injuries played their part, but even if he was completely fit, it is fair to wonder if he would have been a regular holder under Solskjaer.

If West Ham were able to collect the duo for commissions, perhaps signing them would be worth the risk for them.

But not many Hammers fans would be too much in love with the signatures of Lingard and Jones if they really moved to the London stadium this summer.
