Harry Kane’s Tottenham Hotspur issues that are highlighted when the defender sends a farewell message

Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest for Tuesday July 2nd.

Kane’s Spurs problems have been summarized

Harry Kane may have defeated Tottenham Hotspur against Sheffield United, but he has again frustrated the pitch.

The striker has scored two goals in three games since restarting the Premier League last month, but hasn’t really clicked for him and his teammates yet.

He was an isolated figure from the start, cut off by a lack of service that put pressure on every opportunity.

This lack of service was never more apparent than when Erik Lamela broke through the middle of the field and pulled defenders towards him to make room for Kane.

When the midfielder pulled the trigger on an attempted pass to the striker, Lucas Moura appeared out of nowhere to get in his way.

The angry Mourinho bites his tongue

It’s not what he said, it’s the way he said it.

Jose Mourinho may have bitten his tongue when asked about Harry Kane’s inadmissible goal in the loss to Sheffield United, but he was obviously not happy with the decision.

It’s perfectly understandable – the ball hit Lucas Moura’s hand after the Spurs player was fouled and VAR made his decision to play handball. There was nothing he could do about the contact on Moura because he was outside the box.

Mourinho refused to comment on the decision, but said he believed that the referees were no longer responsible for the games.

He said: “I can’t because I have problems with the institutions and I want to prevent myself and my club from being able to be as open as I would like to be.”

“The only thing I can say now is that you are usually an emotional guy on the bench. At these moments, I never complain about the man with the pipe because it is no longer the referee.

“I used to disagree with the decision, I always complained and went to the fourth official, but the man on the court is the assistant referee.

“Today the man and woman with the flags they used to be are the assistant referees, now they are the assistant referee’s assistants. The referee is in the office and I think this is the beginning of everything.”

The right-back played in about 100 games for the development teams of the club, but could not prevail in the formation of the first team.

He was released this week and finished four years as a full-time academy player.

While some players write long farewell messages, Hinds kept his farewells surprisingly short.
