PSG is considering the move for Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi

According to a new Foot Mercato report, PSG is looking to turn its attention to Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi this summer.

The 21-year-old has attracted a range of interests from the best European clubs, with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona among those to whom Guendouzi’s admiration has been attributed.

However, these latest reports suggest that PSG is now failing. Their sporting director, Brazilian Leonard, World Cup winner, is believed to have explored the possibilities of landing the ace Gunners.

Apparently Leonardo and PSG have a “long-standing interest” in Guendouzi, having had on their radars since his days with Lorient.

The French giants have many options in midfield, but they lost Adrien Rabiot to Juventus last summer. Leonardo is believed to see Guendouzi as a potential replacement for his compatriot.

This continues to rumble and it seems increasingly likely that Guendouzi will be out in the coming weeks.

A move to PSG is likely to please him too. It is a return home and with the chance to win European titles and cups.

For Arsenal, they will want to make sure they get the maximum value for their man. His reported wages of £ 40k per week will not be a problem for PSG, but they will have to make sure they make a deal with the Gunners.

Express said in June that Arsenal had set a price of £ 36 million for their man. Again, this is probably not something that will disturb the French club.
