PSG 4 Celtic 0 RECAP while Neil Lennon’s team falls to defeat Paris

On Tuesday evening Celtic suffered a tough defeat against Paris champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Two goals in both halves knocked down the Hoops in the capital as they finished their three-game tour across the Channel with a defeat.

Neil Lennon’s team conceded a goal in the first minute with a goal from World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe.

Brazilian superstar Neymar then made two with a deflected effort that Parkhead goalkeeper Scott Bain made a mistake.

Celtic made an impressive comeback after both half-time goals with Christopher Jullien beating the post with a header before half-time.

The hosts sent a completely different team during the break, but there was no gap since Ander Herrera took another goal within minutes of the second period.

Spanish striker Pablo Sarabia then made four with a gentle volley.

It was a difficult afternoon for Lennon’s team, but he wanted a strong test and PSG duly delivered.

The Hoops will now return to Glasgow to complete preparations for the new Scottish Premiership season which will begin in less than two weeks.
