Partizan took over the corner in November 2018, helping the Belgrade club to win the Adriatic League Super Cup and win the Serbian Cup twice. This part of “Partizan” was Žanis Peiners, but injuries prevented him from gaining the coach’s trust.
Last summer, Trinkier from foreign specialists was the main favorite for the position of the head coach of the Latvian national team, but the club forbade him to apply for this position.
Before working in Belgrade, Trinkier led the German team Bamberg’s “Brose” for four seasons, playing with Jānis Strēlnieks for three years. Prior to that, he worked for the Russian club Kazan “Unics” and the Greek national team for the season.
He has also led his native teams “Triboldi”, “Juvecaserta”, “Veroli” and “Cantu” during his career. He has worked in the Euroleague for five seasons – two with the Kant team and three with the Bamberg unit.
It is significant that in 2009 the current head coach of the Latvian national team Roberts Štelmahers finished his professional career in the then “Veroli” led by Trinkjer.
