AA Gent, Anderlecht and Club Brugge all hope for the arrival of the Swede Armin Gigovic. The Purple & White hoped to outpace them with an opening bid, but that has now been refused by the Swedish Helsingborgs.
According to The capital placed RSCA a first offer of 1 to 1.5 million euros for the 18-year-old Gigovic, but that is insufficient. Helsingborgs is struggling with financial problems, but wants to see at least 2 million euros for the golden cock.
AA Gent and Club Brugge have now been warned and also have more to spend than Anderlecht during the summer mercato. Ghent saw Frank Boya move to Antwerp last week and therefore has a place available for an extra defensive midfielder. Club Brugge has been following Gigovic for several months.
