Paul Green was only half a day outside of North Queensland headquarters, but he was already connected to another NRL coaching appearance.
And this job is the place that the contested Anthony Seibold currently occupies in Red Hill. Rumor has it that the Broncos could fire their coach next week.
The Daily Telegraph reports that Green is high on the list of possible Seibold replacement players in Brisbane immediately after its bomb announcement on Monday.
Green is reportedly close friends with the legend and director of Broncos, Darren Lockyer, and with Ben Ikin, who is to take over the role of CEO at Red Hill.

Green Fronted NRL 360 on Monday night, where he was given the Broncos job.
He did not rule it out, but decided to answer the question directly.
“Today is not a good day to ask about future coaching options,” said Green.
“I said in my press conference today that my future as a coach for the cowboys has ended, but my future as a coach has not ended yet.

“I still have aspirations and goals that I will achieve as head coach. I don’t know exactly where that could be. “
The Broncos are fighting seriously and Seibold has given an ultimatum – win five of the remaining 10 games this year or face the poke.
There is speculation that he could be deleted next week depending on how the team plays against Melbourne on Friday night.
For Green, he now plans to move away from the roller coaster world of NRL coaching … but not for long.

And he has learned lessons from his long tenure in North Queensland that he plans to take on for his next job.
“There are many things that contribute to a successful season, and it is really important that you make sure that you invest time in all of these areas,” he said.
“Communication is a key to this. I think at different times I could have been more conscious instead of working harder and just working harder for everyone to play their part. “
