Novak Djokovic is mentally superior, says Chris Evert

Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic are two of the most powerful forces in tennis to deal with. There are no opponents in the ATP world that these two guys haven’t beaten. In addition, both of these athletes have combined 37 Grand Slam titles to their name. At its peak, Federer was extremely difficult to beat. Only Rafael Nadal, currently the number 2 in the world, could constantly defeat the Swiss master, especially on clay courts. But Djokovic has definitely left his mark in the past decade.

Novak Djokovic is an absolute beast

The world no. 1 is a dominant force on the pitch. Even for experienced athletes like Federer and Nadal, the DJoker is a tough opponent. Both the Swiss and the Spanish admitted themselves. Novak and Roger met 50 times. The first leads the matchups 27–23 (13–6 in all finals and 11–6 in the Grand Slam). That record speaks for itself.

Novak Djokovic got the better of Roger Federer

A fan said that in the last six draws between Federer and Djokovic, the latter has made only one unforced error. Like many others, the legendary Chris Evert was also stunned by this statistic. Well, the DJoker is definitely paying attention to his game and improvement. But what surprises us are Federer’s data. In those six cases, the 38-year-old Swiss made 19 such mistakes.

The post says “In the past 6 tiebreaks between the fed and the djoker, Djokovic has made 1 unforced error (in Cincinnati 1st set tb). Federer made 19 unforced errors“.

Former No. 1 in the world, Chris Evert, later shared the post, with the caption, “No words … impossible to imagine … but that’s why Novak is so mentally superior .. ”

Who will win other Grand Slams?

So far Novak has won 17 Grand Slams and is only three less than Federer’s record count. It will be interesting to see if he manages to equal the Swiss record before the 38-year-old retires from the game.

It is not likely that Federer will say goodbye to his beloved sport anytime soon. And before that happens, he would surely have won more Grand Slams. But given the age of the Serbian, 33, he is very likely to end up winning other Grand Slams over the course of his career. But for this, he needs to keep his current race. Among the “Big Three”, Nadal is more likely to touch or exceed Federer’s count before Novak. The 34-year-old currently has 19 single titles for his name.
