NFL Washington team hires lawyer to review protocols

The Washington NFL team has hired DC attorney Beth Wilkinson of Wilkinson Walsh LLP to review the organization’s protocols, including its culture, policies and allegations of workplace misconduct, Wilkinson told several media Thursday.

Wilkinson represented the NFL in a lawsuit challenging the Sunday League ticket package and has also successfully represented the NCAA and Major League Baseball in class actions.

While Wilkinson should dive deep into the organization’s past culture, team leaders are very upset and frustrated with the current online speculation, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Sources told Schefter that the Washington Post is preparing a story about the team that should highlight the culture that existed and some of the problems that have been created.

In the past week, front-office members Richard Mann III and Alex Santos, as well as play-by-play radio voice Larry Michael, have left the organization.

It has been reported that three minority shareholders are looking to sell their interests in the team. Minority shareholders have hired investment bank Moag & Company to examine buyers, a league source told Schefter.
