Mets’ Asdrubal Cabrera: Monday in action

Cabrera (knee) returned to training on Monday against the Marlins.

Cabrera was kept out on Sunday due to a sore knee, but the ailment won’t end up forcing a multi-game absence. The shorttop will start on Monday n. 78 of the Monday season, so his removal from Sunday’s starting lineup could have been just as easy to get the veteran extra rest during the daily back-to-back games. Cabrera beats fifth in order against Tom Koehler in his return to action.
