Manchester United has reportedly drawn up a list of four defensive goals for this summer, which they are looking to strengthen for the next season.

The Red Devils signed Harry Maguire from Leicester last season in a £ 80 million deal and are looking for a partner to play alongside him.

The Times reports that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants a central defender, attacker and right winger this summer.

Their interest in Jack Grealish has cooled among the news of Aston Villa which has put a price of £ 80 million on the midfielder and needs to strengthen other areas.

The report states that Pau Torres of Villarreal, who is also wanted by Man City, and Nathan Ake of Bournemouth are on their defensive list.

Ake is likely to leave the cherries after their relegation to the championship.

Man United is expected to suffer a £ 100m windfall following qualification for the next Champions League season.

A number of players will also be listed as transfers as their review continues.

Chris Smalling is expected to return after the loan spell to Roma, but the Serie A club is believed to be interested in making that deal permanent.

United will also hear offers from Phil Jones, Andreas Pereira, Jesse Lingard, Marcos Rojo and Alexis Sanchez.
