LA Clippers full scrimmage program for NBA restart released

The seeding games for the NBA reboot won’t start until July 30th, but luckily LA Clippers fans won’t have to wait that long to see their favorite team play again.

The NBA scrimmage program was released on Saturday afternoon, detailing the Clippers’ full “preseason” list of opponents, times and locations.

Here’s a quick look at what’s in store:

  • vs Orlando Magic – July 22nd, 3:00 pm ET, The Arena
  • @ Washington Wizards – July 25, 8:00 pm ET, HP Field House
  • vs. Sacramento Kings – July 27, 4:00 PM ET, The Arena

It is currently unknown whether these scrimmage games will be televised, but the NBA says details will be determined in the future.

The Los Angeles fray with the Orlando Magic will be the first played in the whole league, so if the matches are broadcast on television, expect this matchup to attract a lot of attention. The Clippers have won both games against Magic this season.

Next up is the Washington Wizards, a team that will likely end up competing with the Magic and Brooklyn nets for the final suit in the Eastern Conference. However, the Wizards will be without marksman Davis Bertans, who decided not to travel to Orlando. The Clippers have won both games against Washington this season.

Last on the list in Los Angeles is Sacramento Kings, another team that will fight to earn a place in the playoffs once the seeding matches have started. The Clippers have fought with the Kings this season, winning only one of three games.

That said, the result of these scrimmages means nothing. They are essentially here to help players get back in shape and introduce them to the new environment that has been created in the bubble.

It doesn’t matter if the Clippers win or close these contests. The most important thing is that they come out healthy and prepared to return to competitive play.
