Kang In Lee saves Valencia against a solid Valladolid

Kang In Lee’s goal in the 89th minute, in isolated action and when his team was worse, gave victory to Valencia in a game in which they repeated errors and Valladolid had shown a good level.

Valencia had been powerless, especially after the break, and Valladolid, with confidence, had managed to neutralize their rival and although in the final minutes he was closer to victory than defeat, in the end he lost by the goal of Kang In Lee.

Maxi’s goal in the first half was not enough to beat Valladolid, who tied in the first action of the restart and who did not suffer excessively to keep the equalizer, which undid the Korean Lee near the end.

Incidents:

Game played in Mestalla behind closed doors.

Valencia badly in need of points, noted a slight improvement over previous clashes in the first half against a team that had revolutionized their formation with the presence of some unusual players.

The game was level in the first minutes, with alternatives against both goals until after the quarter of an hour of play, the local team began to take the initiative.

His control of the match was not accompanied by the ability to create and his approaches to Masip’s goal were reduced to a couple of distant shots from Kondogbia, while Valladolid, without the protagonism of his rival, reached the goal more clearly. Jaume Doménech, who started at the expense of Cillessen.

A shot by Waldo and a header by Víctor García unsettled the local goal shortly before after a loss of ball from Sergio González’s team, a pass from Gameiro was finished off on goal by Maxi Gómez.

After the goal and the hydration pause, the ball was definitely for Valencia, who moved it well against a withdrawn opponent, but without seeing closely the possibility of scoring a second that would give him peace of mind.

The young Víctor García, in his debut in Primera, established in a good personal action the tie in the first attack of the second half, which returned the game to the situation before the half hour of play.

Valencia lost the calm they had found after their goal in the first half and although it was offensive, none of their actions was accompanied by clarity or danger, while Valladolid, with three changes in the half hour of play, showed solid in defense and willing to take advantage of the lack of consistency of his rival.

As the game progressed, Valencia, who also made three changes, gave worse feelings, while Valladolid gained in strength and confidence. The position of the foreign players on the field of play left Valencia without resources to overcome their lines, while their rear guard was sometimes unguarded.

The party reached its final moments without giving the impression that victory could be decided in favor of Valencia and without Valladolid suffering to get a deserved point.

When Valencia had the worst time, in one of their last attacks, a good shot by Kang In Lee, the points were unexpectedly left at Mestalla.
