Everyone assumes that Cam Newton, if in good health, will be the starting quarterback for the New England Patriots. And that’s right, because the 2015 MVP is a much more proven commodity than second-year caller Jarrett Stidham.
Well, the former Patriots quarterback and current 98.5, Sports Hub personality Scott Zolak offers a different story.
“I think Jarrett is going to be the starter, the people I talked to,” said Zolak during Tuesday’s “Zolak & Bertrand” episode. “People I trust, players, people connected to the team, team captains. The way they talk about Jarrett Stidham and the work he has done. ”

Zolak is not an NFL “reporter” per se, but he clearly has ties to the Patriots and his words should not be ignored.
