News and transfers from Manchester United LIVE Fernandes and Shaw are ahead of Man Utd vs Palace

Manchester United could be without both full-backs on their left back for their Premier League trip to Crystal Palace on Thursday.

Luke Shaw suffered an ankle sprain in the 2-2 draw with Southampton and his replacement Brandon Williams was forced to expel with a bloody head after a collision with Kyle Walker-Peters.

Shaw, 25, started all 18 games of the undefeated United game and nineteen-year-old Williams earned plaudits for his revolutionary campaign. “Luke twisted his ankle,” said Solskjaer. “So we hope we can get some good news about him after we scan.”

United travel to Selhurst Park before the FA Cup semifinal with Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday evening and Diogo Dalot is the only option available for Shaw and Williams, but have only started seven times this season and once in the Premier League.

Dalot, 21 plagued by injuries, was not included in any of the last nine teams of the day and sided for the last time in a league game in October in Newcastle, where he was injured.
