Thirteen years ago at the Volvo Masters, Henrik Stenson was one of the 20 best players in the official world golf ranking, playing in the season finale of the European Tour at Valderrama in Sotogrande, Spain.
Stenson drew for the 38th week, but left a lasting impression on a fan … a Jon Rahm.
Rahm was a 13-year-old spectator that week and Stenson, as seen above, signed Rahm’s shirt.

Rahm continued to win this event in 2019, becoming the tour player of the year. And now, after winning last week’s Memorial Tournament, Rahm is the No. 1 player in the world.
Stenson would like Rahm to return the favor.
Awesome game @JonRahmpga! Can you sign my shirt next week? ???? https://t.co/pmqw5Me3EP
