Hamburger SV – house search at Jatta – Sport

The private living quarters of HSV professional Bakery Jatta, 22, were searched on Thursday. This was confirmed by the Hamburg public prosecutor’s office. Smartphones and tablets were seized in the measure on suspicion of a violation of the Residence Act. “In fact, there have been other investigations that have raised suspicions that he used the wrong personal information,” said prosecutor Liddy Oechtering. She could not go into details. “Essentially, the investigation showed that he was in contact with people who we were more likely to associate with Mr. Daffeh. And who cannot be reconciled if Mr. Jatta is not Mr. Daffeh,” added Oechtering on.

The Jatta, originally from The Gambia, fled to Germany in 2015 and initially lived near Bremen. He has been playing for HSV since 2016 and has a contract with the second division soccer team until 2024. Last year, the “Jatta case” caused a sensation. The Sports picture had raised doubts about Jatta’s identity with a report. Accordingly, the offensive player could have a past as Bakary Daffeh and be two and a half years older than previously thought. The subsequent investigations initially led to no result.

Jatta was a regular this season at Hamburger SV, who had always supported him. He played 31 of the 34 games (four goals) in the second division, in which HSV only missed last Sunday’s promotion to the first division by defeating SV Sandhausen 5-1.
