Four Arsenal players who won the Premier League after leaving Emirates

Many players on that list only changed teams in England and eventually achieved great success. The latest example is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who left Emirates for Liverpool in 2017 and has now managed to win his first Premier League title this season.

The English midfielder, however, is not the only player to achieve such a result. Since the beginning of 2010, a long list of players has changed teams within the League.

So here we enrolled four other players who managed to land the Premier League trophy promptly after leaving the North London team.

Robin van Persie

The flying Dutchman is probably the best example of a player who immediately tasted success after leaving the team. Van Persie joined Feyenoord’s Gunners in the summer of 2004 and peaked in his game in 2011-12.

He scored 37 goals in 48 apps that same season, but the Gunners seemed too far from the fight for greater glory. In search of important honors, he controversially planned a move to direct Manchester United’s rival next year. And on his first chance, he almost single handedly provided the Red Devils with their 20th title and a first league title to himself.

Samir Nasri

One of Arsene Wenger’s signatures, the French director signed up for the team in 2008 and became a key member under Wenger for three years. But when Manchester City arrived, he managed to resist the jump of the ship and eventually became a perfect decision. During his time at Arsenal, the Frenchman did not even approach the championship title challenge, but in a newly formed Manchester City team, he helped the team win their first championship title. He also won another championship title in 2013-14 before leaving the team in 2017.

Gael Clichy

The French left-back made the same move that his former teammate Nasri signed by signing with Manchester City for a cost of around £ 7 million. It quickly established itself when Etihad’s first-choice left-back found the success he had failed to find at Arsenal. He won the championship in 2011-12 and also in the 2013-14 season. He also left the team in 2017 after the arrival of Guardiola.

Kolo Toure

Prior to Nasri and Clichy’s move, the Invincible league winner was the first high-profile Arsenal player to switch teams at Manchester City. The defender however risked and joined the City after finishing tenth in the league. But along with Toure, City made a series of high-profile purchases and the middle half played an important role in helping the team reach the top four. Toure spent four seasons at the City and won a championship trophy.
