First team news for Man Utd against West Ham in the Premier League

Eric Bailly was taken off on a stretcher during Sunday’s EAS Emirates FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea following an aerial collision with teammate Harry Maguire. The Ivorian was quickly taken to hospital and, speaking later, Solskjaer revealed that his player had a cut on the back of his head that required attention.

Luke Shaw also missed the game at Wembley Stadium with an ankle injury, and it remains to be seen if the left back will be fit enough to challenge the Hammers. He is currently on an absentee list which includes fellow defenders Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones.

Luckily, Solskjaer said that Maguire is fine after suffering a cut above the eye during his collision with Bailly. The team captain ended the first half with a heavy band around his forehead, but played the second period without it, and Harry will hope to make his 37th league appearance of the season, keeping his record ever current.

Brandon Williams also completed the game in London and that’s a big boost after the bad head cut he suffered against Southampton at Old Trafford last week. Our new graduate from the Academy wore a black eye on Sunday, but otherwise he was fit and hopefully he came out unharmed at Wembley.
