Europa League Quarterfinal Drawing Results

Europa League quarterfinal drawing has been completed. Manchester United has avoided strong opponents such as Inter Milan, Sevilla or AS Roma.

The Europa League quarterfinal drawing was held at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon on Friday (07/10/2020) WIB, just after the Champions League draw. Quarterfinal match is scheduled to take place on 10-11 August, after the parties of the round of 16 completed.

Most of the last 16 rounds have reached the second leg, including MU, who won 5-0 in the first leg. Only two matches namely Inter Milan vs Getafe and Sevilla vs AS Roma have not been played at all.

For Inter v Getafe and Sevilla v Roma, it has been decided that the match will only be held once at a neutral venue in Germany. The match took place on August 5-6, together with the second leg parties which were delayed due to a pandemic.

From the draw earlier, Manchester United are expected to pitch to the quarterfinals will face the winner between Basaksehir vs Copenhagen. While Inter Milan will challenge the winner of Rangers vs Bayer Leverkusen if they can get past Getafe, while Roma are awaited by the winners of Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Bayer Leverkusen if successful through Sevilla.

For MU, there is great potential to face heavy opponents in the semifinals. Because if they escape the quarterfinals, they are awaited by one of Rome, Sevilla, Wolverhampton, and Olympiakos.
