Arsenal fans will love choosing Cesc Fabregas for the best game he played in

Former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has selected a particular match for the North London team as the best one he has played in during his career.

The Spaniard has played a role in a wide range of successes for clubs and nations, raising the FA Cup with Arsenal, two Premier League titles with Chelsea and numerous accolades with Chelsea.

He was also part of the Spanish team that raised the World Cup in 2010 and the Europeans in 2008 and 2012, where the Los Rojas domination period ended years of disappointment for the national team.

However, when asked to select the best game he played in his career, he neglected all those successes and instead identified a memorable Arsenal game.

“When I was at Arsenal and we beat Barcelona 2-1 in the Emirates Champions League in 2011. I think we played sensationally in that game,” he told the BBC podcast of the 10 best matches of the day.

“Obviously I’m talking about the game because after that we lost at Camp Nou and didn’t pass but, in terms of that night, when you ask me about your favorite game, probably that one.”

In that game, David Villa gave the Catalan team an advantage in the first half, but two late goals in five minutes from Robin van Persie and Andriy Arshavin reversed the game.
