Allen expects Nets to tackle the impending adversity “with a few grains”.

Caris LeVert, Joe Harris, and Taurean Prince have a lot on their plate as they prepare for the Disney bubble in late July – especially when Spencer Dinwiddie can’t play.

But after DeAndre Jordan (opted out after a positive test on COVID-19) and Nic Claxton (left shoulder) are both done, Jarrett Allen may be asked to do more than anyone else. Not only does he have to perform well, Brooklyn’s draft pick for the first round of 2017 must also stay healthy – and the tall man told reporters when he called zoom on Thursday that he was aware of the situation:

There is some pressure. I don’t want to say, “Yes, I’m the last tall standing,” as bad as it sounds. So, [there] It is a certain pressure for me to stay healthy and to help the team succeed.

Despite the lack of bigs and the exhausted squad – and all the other challenges that the Disney bubble will bring – everyone expects him and his teammates to compete against each other every night. Because adversity is nothing new to him and the rest of Brooklyn’s core:

I think we can achieve as much as we want. Obviously we don’t have nearly half of our team. I think we can go out there and do what Brooklyn has been known for over the years when we faced adversity: do our best and play with a few grains.
