Ahead of the UEFA Decision, Guardiola Value Man City Worth Playing in the Champions League Page all

KOMPAS.com – Manchester City are anxiously. The club nicknamed The Citizens is awaiting UEFA’s decision about the fate of their membership in the Champions League.

As is known, Man City was previously proven to violate the rules of the Financial Fair Play (FFP).

The violation resulted in Man City being fined 30 million euros (around Rp. 488 billion) and a ban on tampl in the Champions League for the next two seasons.

However, the decision was not final. Man City have already appealed to UEFA and now they are waiting for the results.

UEFA itself will announce the results of the appeal on Monday (07/13/2020) local time.

Ahead of the verdict, Pep Guardiola hopes Man City wins the appeal.

Because, he considered that the team that dibesutnya deserve to appear in the Champions League next season.

“We have just won the Champions League ticket on the field. Hopefully on Monday there is a good decision from UEFA,” said Guardiola, as reported by Goal.

Manchester City have just sealed second place in the Premier League standings after beating Brighton & Hove Albion.

That result makes Man City have now collected 72 points from 35 matches.

With three matches remaining, their position is safe in the top four or the Champions League zone.
