Each crisis is an opportunity. Chances are, the Carolina Panthers will have plenty of them during the 2020 NFL season. While the outlook isn’t good for the team’s projected winning tally, players at the bottom of the depth chart will have plenty of chances to prove themselves.
Here are eight players who could have a surprise year, given the right circumstances.
QB PJ Walker

Madden may not think much of Walker’s game based on his overall rating of 59. What he filmed during his run in the XFL was undeniably impressive. If Teddy Bridgewater does end up getting injured, it’s not hard to see Will Grier bomb again and Walker take over as the team’s starting quarterback. The level of competition will be much higher, but Walker deserves a chance to show what he can do in case Bridgewater is unable to play.
