July 12 at 11.00 The Latvian Cup and the Garkalne Cup in Olympic rugby-7 will start at Upesciems Stadium. Six teams of four clubs have applied for the tournament – “Livonia-1”, “Livonia-2” “Butchers”, “ĶNSS”, “Eži” and Valmiera “Fenikss”. The teams will be divided into two groups of three, after the group games the best two will enter the semi-finals, but the third place winners will fight for the 5th place in the tournament. The semi-final matches and fights for the first, third and fifth place will start from 14.00.
Last year, the Latvian Rugby-7 Cup did not take place, but in the Latvian Rugby-7 Championship, the “Miesnieki / Ķekava” triumphed for men, winning both stages in Baldone Stadium.
