Wolverhampton continues to dream of C1

Wolverhampton is more than ever in the running to compete in the Champions League next season.

The Wanderers went on to win 1-0 on Saturday at matchday 32 of the Aston Villa, which remains relegated.

The Wolves, provisionally 5th in the standings, now have three points ahead of Manchester United, 6th, and two behind Chelsea, 4th. These two clubs, however, have one game less than Wolverhampton.

The only goal of this meeting was scored in the 62nd minute by Belgian midfielder Leander Dendoncker on a left shot near the ground at the entrance to the surface. It was Wolverhampton’s third straight championship victory since the recovery, without conceding a single goal.
