With fans in the Ghelamco Arena? AA Gent installs air treatment system | Jupiler Pro League

If the Jupiler Pro League kicks off on August 7, it may be with a limited number of supporters in the stands.

The Security Council announced last week that from August 1, “400 people inside and 800 outside” will be admitted to events. Those numbers could also be expanded after government approval.

Clubs have been thinking for a while about who might be allowed to enter the stadium, but AA Gent goes a step further.

“At the moment work is in progress to be able to welcome you safely in our Ghelamco Arena soon when the weather is allowed”, Ghent addresses its supporters.

“After all, AA Gent is the first sports club in Belgium to install a complete air treatment system based on cold plasma bipolar ionization. A complex name for a genius technology.”

We will spare you the scientific explanation, but AA Gent emphasizes that this is “the most advanced solution to be able to receive you literally in pure air.”

“This technique is not dangerous to health. On the contrary, asthma and allergy sufferers will be able to breathe more freely in our rooms and germs will be broken down before they can be passed on!”

“You read that right: 83,700m³ of clean air. From all the player rooms and changing rooms to the sky boxes, the sanitary rooms, the restaurants, the promenade, the fan shop and the offices. In all these rooms, the air will be permanently clean”, AA concludes Ghent.

“This technology also offers extra comfort: not only people with respiratory problems will feel better, all disturbing odors are also eliminated by this ionization technology.”

“So we will not only receive you in clean air, you will also feel good and comfortable, in absolute safety. We are looking forward to your arrival with enthusiasm.”
