UFC on ESPN 12 results: games for the main card ‘Poirier vs Hooker’ winners

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) got the business going last night (Sat, June 27, 2020), staging UFC on ESPN 12 within UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main event of the evening, Dustin Poirier defeated Dan Hooker in an absolute barn burner and took a unanimous decision win in the “Battle of the Year” so far (see). In the co-headlining act, Mike Perry did enough with just his girlfriend in his corner to take a win over Mickey Gall.

Winner: Dustin Poirier

Who to fight next: Tony Ferguson

It’s hard to believe that these two men’s octagon paths never crossed, but it’s definitely the easy fight to do next. Ferguson needs a big win after scarce last May in a preliminary lightweight title fight against Justin Gaethje at UFC 249, which also saw fans stand on the edge of their places. For Poirier, a win over “El Cucuy” enables him to claim another title fight. Both men are tanks, both men are bruised and both men can take the punishment as well as they can hand it out. Oh, and in their last 17 fights together, they’ve won a total of 14 post-combat bonuses, including 11 Fight of the Night awards. So yes, this will be another “Fight of the Year” candidate. Be excited … now.

Winner: Mike Perry

Who to fight next: The finance officer Niko price

Perry took the much needed win over Mickey Gall and was able to breathe a sigh of relief as he has had several problems lately and had lost twice in a row before last night. Price has also had several issues in the past few years, alternating victories and losses in his last six fights. In his previous fight, Niko came up short against Vicente Luque and lost due to a technical knockout at UFC 249. A fight against Niko is better than ever for Perry as he will need a nice winning streak before he starts the Top 15 competition to get. But first, Perry has to get a real team to train with and corner him. Nothing against his girlfriend, but he can’t expect similar results night after night, just with her as his corner.

Winner: Maurice Greene

Who to fight next: That is Tuivasa

Green ended his two-streak losing streak after taking a deficit win against Gian Villante. “The Crochet Boss” still has a long way to go before it hits the top 15. So he has to score some big wins over harder rivals that are natural heavyweights. And Tuivasa fits the bill perfectly. Admittedly, Bam Bam hasn’t had the best run lately and has lost three times in a row, but he still has a good following. A win over Tuivasa could do wonders for Greene’s stock.

Winner: Brendan Allen

Who to fight next: Will pause until 2021

Brendan Allen just keeps shooting all cylinders and taking his seventh straight win, third in the octagon after defeating Kyle Daukaus. Allen has been working every three months since July 2019 and is now fighting every three months. Unfortunately for everyone to take a mandatory break when reports surfaced that he had suffered several facial injuries that will force him to the bench by early 2021.

Winner: Tanner Boser

Who to fight next: Shamil abdurakhimov

Tanner was pretty upset that after Philipe Lins steamrolled in the first round he didn’t get a bonus after the fight. Even so, he’ll have plenty of chances to earn that extra $ 50,000. Next up was a fight for Boser against Abdurakhimov, who had recently captured his winning streak in three fights from Curtis Blaydes, one of the best £ 265 rivals. Shamil did pretty well in the eight-sided cage, winning five out of seven in total. These two losses came from Blaydes and Derrick Lewis. If Boser wants bigger and better options, it is a good way to get through Abdurakhimov.

Winner: Julian Erosa

Who to fight next: Kyle Nelson

Erosa had a pretty nice welcome party where Sean Woodson was suffocated in the third round with only three days’ notice. Eros was previously cut off from three promotions in a row, but now that he has made the most of his second chance, Juicy J is ready to take it. And who could be better off next than the man he replaced, Kyle Nelson. “The Monster” should deal with his visa problems for his next fight, so it makes sense for both men to book this fight.
