The fighter of the UFC, Dan Hooker this weekend he faced a fierce Dustin Poirier who came out with everything to the octagon and captured it in the face of his rival, leaving him with his face completely destroyed.

In an interview he gave up after this weekend’s UFC fight on ESPN 12, Hooker’s face can be seen totally messed up and he had to be rushed to a hospital for medical evaluation.

Both fighters were transported to a local hospital after a grueling five-round battle. Once released, Hooker offered his first post-fight comments on social media in the form of an Instagram post.

The message of the UFC fighter was first to give credit to his rival who was the one of the night and without regrets, without excuses, the minor setbacks are not important to him, revealing the inflammations and cuts on his face from the battle.

“They checked me out in the hospital … Everything is fine. Just a few stitches in the eye, but that’s the game we played. No worries,” said Hooker.

With an apparently clean health bill aside from facial damage, Hooker now travels to his New Zealand home, where he must be quarantined for 14 days due to the coronavirus pandemic travel protocols.

The loss to Poirier snapped a three-fight winning streak for Hooker. However, given his post-fight comments, it appears that “The Hangman” is already focused on getting back to normal.
