The Cricket-English County Championship is scheduled to start on August 1, the ECB says

June 29 (Reuters) – The Cricket Board of England and Wales (ECB) on Monday approved professional men’s county cricket to start its season on August 1st.

The Men’s County Championship was originally scheduled to start on April 12th. 10 rounds were planned by August 1, but were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The game plans and format for the season will be determined by the 18 first-class counties in a meeting in early July. (Reporting by Rohith Nair in Bengaluru; editing by Alison Williams)
