Ah, revisionist history. The elixir of life for every hockey fan. The anger-inducing could, should, would. We all like to complain deep inside. Sports fans are inherently stomach ache.

And there is no bigger what-could-have been than the one that comes with the design. When an NHL general manager makes a trade, we rarely know what was still available, who else he could have bought, or why he bought or sold at the price he made. But we do know the design of the results. It’s as easy as taking the guy who gets better than the guy you actually took. Correct? Correct!? Correct!?!?
