“Terrible and humiliating to look at” – Huddersfield Town fans react to the gloomy defeat in Nottingham Forest

Huddersfield Town missed the chance to get out of the relegation zone they’d lost to Nottingham Forest over the weekend.

Danny Cowley’s team lost 1-3 at City Ground to the playoffs chasing the Reds.

Lewis Grabban scored each side of the half, while Ryan Bates added a third for the hosts as full time approached.

The terriers were then reduced to 10 when Juninho Bacuna was released for a late challenge against Nuno da Costa while Karlan Grant shot home from penalty point in added time, which turned out to be a consolation for Town.

The Terriers are in the drop zone due to the goal difference behind Hull City and have seven games to go to maintain their second division status.

Town fans went full-time to Twitter to express their thoughts about the defeat and the potential impact on the rest of the campaign.

Reece Chambers wrote: “On the plus side, we could win first division games.”

Craig Addy wrote: “We’re going to be in the top division again Wednesday / Saturday / Tuesday / Saturday / Tuesday / Saturday / Wednesday / next season. It’s about @htafc players. Your tweets for the rest of the season are all lined up. Quite simply, you are all stealing his livelihood. “

Richard Brook wrote: “Get used to the stick of Leeds fans because I can’t even see Leeds blowing it this time and sinking Town and not showing up for a couple of years.”

“The club needs a massive rebuild, and O’Brien is not sure I can think of anything that should stop. Grant is absent.”

A Town fan wrote: “Well, to complete our terrible performance. Interesting (but not necessarily bad) selection from the Cowleys.

“Unfortunately, 1st defensive mistakes by experienced players and 2nd misfortune / lack of cutting edge were to blame in the future. Cowleys weren’t proactive enough with submarines either.”

Chris Calvert wrote: “The formation is absolutely terrible. The full-backs must attack but not defend. You cannot even mark a solo striker who scores most of his goals. No structure. Too much freedom. Grant has no service! Terrible . ” and humiliating to see. “

Rob Hancock wrote: “The boys have to look around town and country and see how lucky they are to get their job done. Maybe they would bother to show up then.”

“What do you see all week to prepare – Peppa Pig? We know their best players and still allow them freedom. One of them even played for us!”
