Steve Atwater & Peyton Manning could (will) go to HOF together

Good morning, Broncos Country!

There isn’t much to get excited about these days. This is especially true in the wide world of sport.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, we are about to enter the fourth month without major sports in the United States. Yes, there is hope that the MLB, NBA and NHL can fulfill their plans to return to the game. But until that happens, we just don’t know. Every expectation is based on hope.

With regard to the NFL, the plan for the opening of the training camp at the end of July is not yet complete. This does not apply to the Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremony and the Hall of Fame game in early August. But the disappointment of not seeing Denver Broncos’ legend Steve Atwater upset some excitement. And it’s damn exciting.

The 2020 ceremony will be postponed to 2021. Well, that’s the first year a Peyton Manning is approved. Despite spending four years in Denver with the Broncos, the PFM will not stop you from being banned as a unanimous candidate in your first year. Since there is still confusion, unlike baseball, those who have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame do not choose a helmet. In Manning’s case, both the Indianapolis Colts and the Broncos are shown on his plaque.

This means that both PFM and the smiling assassin are recorded at the same time.

Yes. You’re welcome.

I joked on the Twitter machine that my future plans now include a flight to Chicago to meet Adam Malnati and a trip to Canton for a Broncos country party in the Hall of Fame.

The only way this could get any better is if Broncos linebacker Randy Gradishar (finally) gets his place in the Hall of Fame, which leads to a Denver hat-trick in Canton.

Since there isn’t much to get excited about these days, this more than makes up for it.
