Slovakian former football player Marián Cisovsky (40) died of ALS | Football

Cisovsky played fifteen international matches. He became champion of Slovakia three times with two different clubs from the capital Bratislava and in 2013 he also won the league title in the Czech Republic with Viktoria Pilsen.

The Czech club announced on Twitter that Cisovsky has died. The Slovakian ended his career in 2015, after ALS was diagnosed with him a year earlier. Viktoria Pilsen took the championship again that season, a title dedicated to Cisovsky.

Last year, the Limburg footballer Fernando Ricksen died at the age of 43 from the effects of ALS.
