Robbie Savage smokes live with Jake Humphrey at BT Sport in the tirade “Leicester Rebuild”

Robbie Savage was angry with BT Sport presenter Jake Humphrey and scolded whether Leicester City needed a makeover.

Savage said he was “angry” that Humphrey asked him the question after Chelsea kicked the Foxes out of the FA Cup on Sunday.

Leicester is currently third in the Premier League and is aiming for a spot in the Champions League after reaching both the Caraboa Cup semi-finals and the FA Cup quarter-finals this season.

However, they haven’t scored in five of their last eight games and rarely threatened Chelsea.

Humphrey talked to former Foxes midfielder Savage about BT Sport after the game, referring to an interview in which a fan said Brendan Rodgers’ team needed to reinvest – with teams like Wolves and Sheffield United leading the premiers Get League.

And the moderator was immediately devastated by Savage.

“I mean – people are now interviewing Chris Wilder and Sheffield United and they are eighth in the Premier League. FA Cup quarter-finals, that is utter nonsense.”

Humphrey then asked if the foxes should reinvest this summer, to which Savage replied, “All teams have to reinvest.

“Liverpool will likely have to reinvest. They will have one of the best Premier League seasons ever. You could even break all records.”

“You are third in the Premier League, Leicester City. Let that work for a second. You are ahead of Spurs, Manchester United, ahead of Chelsea.”

Savage added, “They don’t have to be rebuilt. I’m fed up with people saying they need rebuilding. It’s nonsense. That made me angry.”

The 45-year-old complains, at least amused, with his expert Rio Ferdinand.

The former defender of Manchester United and England joked: “Sav has no dessert.”
