PSG does not renounce the Milanese star worth 50 million euros, but Man City on pole thanks to Guardiola’s call

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City have not given up hope of signing Milan’s Ismael Bennacer, according to a report.

The 22-year-old joined the Rossoneri from Empoli last summer and it was nothing short of a revelation, arriving on the back of having been named the player of the tournament at AFCON 2019.

According to Calciomercato.com, Bennacer has been able to attract the attention of the best European clubs thanks to his exploits this season. Pep Guardiola and Manchester City are excited and there have also been contacts between PSG sports director Leonardo and the player’s agent.

No official offers have arrived, but at the moment the English club is in pole position since Guardiola has personally telephoned the Algerian to try to convince him.

Milan, for now, remains calm. Bennacer has a € 50 million release clause built into his contract, but will not be active until 2021, which means that anyone who wishes to do so in this market session will have to pay more.
