Rafael Nadal has just scored the catamaran ace. The 33-year-old tennis star, who is currently ranked second in the world, received a brand last week that spanked the new Sunreef 80 Power in her hometown of Mallorca, Spain.

The ultra-modern multihull, custom designed for Nadal and his wife Maria, combines five-star comfort with exceptional navigability. Built in composite, the cat sports an elegant silhouette and clean lines that are synonymous with the Polish shipyard.

The 80ft is an all-round pleasure boat that is perfect for long offshore cruises. It features powerful propulsion in the form of two 1,200 hp engines and can reach a top speed of 24 knots or a cruising speed of 14 knots. But it’s the inside where things get exciting.

The yacht’s generous living space spans nearly 4,000 square feet and represents one of the largest in the class. It has been completely customized for the tennis professional without charge. Finished in an elegant cream, coffee and beige color scheme, the interior includes an impressive salon on the main deck which has direct access to the front terrace, luxury guest cabins complete with private bathroom and an impressive master suite. Suitable for the royalty of tennis, the suite has a luxurious internal bathroom and a side balcony where the Spaniard can work on his tan.

Elsewhere on the ship, there is a large flybridge with a fully equipped wet bar, a barbecue and a sizeable relaxation area with necessary sun loungers. There is also a large aft garage where Rafa can store his jet skis and water toys (or his beloved tennis rackets).

Nadal had a passion for yachting since childhood and acquired some extraordinary ships in his day. Before commissioning the 80 Sunreef Power, he drove a $ 76 million 76-foot MCY 76 motor yacht called Beethoven for his love of classical music. And recently, his family has spent the holidays chartering a Sunreef sailing catamaran pending its new delivery.

“My team from Gdansk made every effort to create the yacht that Rafa and his wife Maria dreamed of,” said Francis Lapp, president and founder of Sunreef Yachts. “I am convinced that they will have a lot of fun with their friends and family on board.”

We have no doubts.
