LIVERPOOL, KOMPAS.com – Liverpool coach, Juergen Klopp, did not know his team could get Guard of Honor for the rest of the 2019-2020 season after the Premier League champions, the top caste of the English League.
Liverpool ensure the title after the match Chelsea vs Manchester City ended 2-1 to win the host, on Thursday (6/25/2020).
Failure to defeat Chelsea makes Man City, who is the defending champion, have to give up the English League trophy in the hands of Liverpool.
Liverpool who now lead with a collection of 86 points won because Man City has certainly been unable to catch up.
Despite winning the remaining seven matches, Man City was only able to collect a maximum of 84 points.
After ensuring the title, Liverpool are scheduled to travel to the headquarters of Man City, Etihad Stadium, to play the 32nd week of action, Thursday (07/02/2020).

According to the site Sky Sports, Man City will give Guard of Honor for Liverpool in the match although until now it has not been confirmed.
Guard of Honor is a tribute to the team that managed to win before the season ended. Honor was made by the opposing team before the match.
Later, 11 opposing players will form two lines on the sidelines and applaud when the champion team enters the field.
Actually, tradition Guard of Honor not written in official regulations. As a result, Guard of Honor will only occur if the opposing team wishes.

After getting an explanation from the reporter about Guard of Honor, Klopp is also still confused.
“So when will we get that. Is it against Man City or when is the last match?” Klopp said again, asking.

The reporter then replied that Liverpool could get Guard of Honor not only against Man City but also from six other teams.
Knowing that, Klopp looked happy and immediately laughed loudly.
However, Klopp ensured Liverpool will still perform optimally for the rest of the season and do not care whether it gets Guard of Honor from your opponent or not.
“Oh, God! We will see what will happen,” Klopp said with a laugh after the reporter gave an explanation.
“We cannot ask other teams to do that. If that happens (Liverpool gets Guard of Honor), it will happen, “Klopp said.
“We are already champions. So, we don’t care about that (Guard of Honor). “On the field, we will continue to perform optimally as if we haven’t won,” Klopp added.
In addition to the match against Man City, Liverpool can also get Guard of Honor from the other six opponents for the rest of the season.
Related to the English League championship trophy, Liverpool are said to be getting it in the last home game of the season.
