Johan Derksen: ‘Problems that exist now will not go away’

Despite the whole media storm that Johan gets over him, he remains extremely calm. “I am very relaxed in these kinds of conflicts. The world is not going to end,” he says in front of RTL Boulevard’s camera. This Sunday Wilfred was a guest at On 1 to talk about the theme broadcast of Veronica Inside. And that came to a lot of criticism. Johan also watched the broadcast. “I don’t think I should react to another television program, but of course I saw it,” he says.

Johan prefers to resolve the issue privately. “I told Wilfred what I think. And the whole of the Netherlands does not have to enjoy it.” The current tensions between the gentlemen of WE may lead to the talk show not returning to the tube. Johan would think it was a shame, “but there are also principles in life,” he says firmly.

However, he does not just want to throw in the towel. He, Wilfred and René will sit around the table again. “When we are all ready and when the emotions have descended a bit. Then we will see if we can figure it out. But I think the problems that remain now will not change.”

Johan does want to say that he has no quarrel with Wilfred. “He doesn’t have to make an excuse for me. He has an opinion and a certain approach. That is his good right,” he explains. But was allowed Veronica Inside nevertheless stopping then means the end for Johan’s television career. “I have no ambition to do anything else on television. That was it.”
