Jermiah Braswell charged with OVI in Put-in-Bay

Jermiah Braswell, who plays for the Arizona Cardinals and was a broad recipient at Youngstown State University, has failed a breath test, according to the PIB police.

PUT-IN-BAY, Ohio – Jermiah Braswell, who plays for the Arizona Cardinals and started his football career at Central Catholic in Toledo, went to Lake Erie on Saturday evening under the influence of an orange Camaro, according to Put-in-Bay police.

Put-in-Bay officials received a call about 6:30 p.m. regarding the incident

According to police, witnesses told officers that the Camaro driver had driven off the embankment and had come to rest in the lake, and Braswell was very quick when he left the road. He traveled through a meadow and, according to police records, flew from the embankment into the lake.

When the officers approached Braswell, they found that he was still sitting in the driver’s seat, trying to drive forward. He told the crews that he was stuck and, according to the police, did not know what had happened.

According to the police, the officers noticed that Braswell’s speech was blurry and he could not explain how he ended up in the water.

He underwent standardized field sobriety tests, according to which the police said he was arrested for driving under the influence.

Police records show that Braswell has approved a breath test that showed his BAC has exceeded the Ohio legal boundaries. The player refused to undergo a chemical test to determine his BAC.

There were no passengers in the vehicle and no bystanders were injured.

After graduating from high school, Braswell played as a wide receiver at Youngstown State University and later joined the Arizona Cardinals.

Requests for comments were emailed to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday morning, but were not immediately answered.
