JOHN TERRY cut the asking price of his home in Surrey by £ 500,000 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 39-year-old former English captain put the luxury pad on the market for £ 5.5 million in March.
But after the Covid-19 epidemic caused a collapse in the housing market, Chelsea legend reduced the selling price by £ 500,000 in an attempt to get rid of it.
It is said that his wife Toni was no longer able to live in the six-bedroom house after she was targeted by thieves in 2017.
Four cheaters made their way into the villa while Terry and his family were out skiing.
Ax-hooligans destroyed the place and left with £ 400,000 of jewelry.
They are believed to be Arsenal fans and wanted to take revenge on the club’s rivals.
Raiders Darren Eastaugh, Joshua Sumer, Oliver Hart and Roy Head were jailed for a total of 27 years.
Terry – who has a real estate empire in Oxshott, Surrey, thought it was worth £ 47 million – later put the luxury pad on the market.
The house, marketed by real estate agent Savills, has already undergone a huge cut of £ 500,000 from the price.
The coronavirus pandemic, which completely blocked home sales, didn’t help.
“SETTING AND SUBSTANCES”
The half-acre plot in Crown Estate is close to Chelsea Cobham’s training ground, where Terry has spent much of his entire playing career.
He purchased the villa from golf legend Colin Montgomerie for £ 2.5 million in 2014.
Real estate mogul Terry splashed away transforming Monty who puts greenery into a pool and outdoor kitchen.
Savills said: “An impressive and substantial family home, located in the prestigious Crown Estate, built by the award-winning developer, Royalton.
“The property has been renovated and the interiors have been entirely designed by Louise Bradley, the best interior designer in London, to create a beautiful, adaptable and welcoming space for both relaxed family life and fun.”
The master bedroom – where thieves are believed to have stolen the bags of his wife Toni – is described in detail.
The real estate agent explained: “On the first floor, the galeried landing leads to the large and sumptuous master bedroom suite, with double doors onto a balcony overlooking the rear landscaped gardens.
“There is a large” he and she “combined dressing area and a luxurious private bathroom.”
Terry owns four properties in the Oxshott area of Surrey and recently purchased a new seven-bedroom mansion.
Both he and his wife Toni poured out a £ 4.35 million melody into the 18th century manor house, nestled in eight acres of tree-lined gardens.
