Crusaders streak 35th in a row at home – News Feed – Super Rugby

The Auckland Blues and Canterbury Crusaders are the only two undefeated Super Rugby Aotearoa teams after their victory on Sunday against the Waikato Chiefs 18-13 in Christchurch. This victory acquired in difficult conditions, in heavy rain, allows the Crusaders to chain their 35th consecutive victory at home. They left it to their young rear Will Will, 22, native of Christchurch, author of a double. Ten points to which are added the 8 of Richie Mo’unga at the foot. This match allows the Crusaders, champions of Super Rugby last season and therefore favorites of this limited edition to New Zealand franchises only, to follow the rhythm of the Blues, winners on Saturday 27-24 of the Highlanders. The Blues now have three wins in three games, the Crusaders two wins in as many games. Conversely, the Chiefs are now in three consecutive defeats, and appear last in the ranking. The Super Rugby Aotearoa is a New Zealand version of the championship which traditionally opposes franchises from New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Argentina and Japan, suspended this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
